If the Midway does not sale by Spring 2027, then the Midway will open for the 2027 season under the current owners.

When the Midway sells, then the new owners will make an announcement with their plans.

STATEMENT FROM THE MIDWAY DRIVE-IN OWNERS

19 years ago, we fell in love with the Midway Drive-In at first sight. We also fell in love with the surrounding communities including Sterling, Dixon, and Rock Falls. Our goal was to preserve the Midway Drive-In and the tradition of the outdoor movie-going experience for future generations. We spent 19 years restoring and renovating the Midway Drive-In. Almost all the equipment in the Midway has been updated, and we have made countless upgrades to all of the utilities - including the upgrade to digital projection. For 19 years, the Midway has presented first-run blockbusters and movie classics to wonderful audiences. There have been many highlights, including personal appearances from celebrity guests such as film and TV star Bruce Campbell, and most recently the celebrities from the cast of GREASE. We were honored to receive the Keys to the City of Sterling from Mayor Diana Merdian.

One of the best parts about the Midway is that everyone who attends the Drive-In is so nice. That is part of the magic of the Drive-In Theatre experience. This would not have been possible without you, and we would like to thank everyone who has visited the Midway Drive-In.

WHY ARE WE SELLING?

We have accomplished what we set out to do. The Midway is in great shape and is attended by large and enthusiastic audiences. It is now time to hand the keys of the Midway Drive-In over to new owners who will care for the Midway as much as we do.

WHEN WILL THE MIDWAY BE SOLD?

We do not know when the Midway will be sold and will change ownership.
