Midway Drive-In

From the East (ex. Chicago, DeKalb, Sycamore)
Take I-88 West (Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway) to IL 26, about 36
miles. Exit IL Route 26 North and stay on this through downtown Dixon (about
2 miles). Turn left at Everett Street (IL Route 2) and continue on this when
it becomes Palmyra Street. Stay on Palmyra as it becomes IL Route 2 for
about 7 miles, passing the War Memorial and Sauk Valley Community College.
Turn right at Mound Hill Road (you will see the Drive-In Screen at this
time!) and continue on this until it hits Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn
left on Prairieville/Palmyra Road and the Midway Drive-In will be on your
immediate left. If you miss Mound Hill Road, don’t fret! Continue on IL
Route 2 for a mile or so until you come to Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn
right on Prairieville/Palmyra Road for about 2 miles and the Midway Drive-In
will be on your right!
From the West (ex. The Quad Cities)
Take IL Route 5 (John Deere Road) East (about 7 miles) to I-88 East.
Continue on I-88 East for about 40 miles until you reach IL Route 40 (toward
Rock Falls/Sterling). Turn right at IL-40/I-88 North and continue on this
for about 3 miles. Turn right at East 3rd Street/IL Route 2 North for about
4 miles. Turn left at Prairieville/Palmyra Road. The Midway Drive-In will be
on your right after about 2 miles! If you miss this road, don’t
fret…continue for less than a mile on IL Route 2 and turn left at Mound Hill
Road. Continue on Mound Hill Road for about 1 mile and turn left at
Prairieville/Palmyra Road. The Midway Drive-In will be on your immediate
left!
From the North (ex. Rockford)
Take Route 2 Southbound following it through Byron, IL and Oregon, IL to
Dixon, IL (about 40 miles). Turn right on IL Route 26 in downtown Dixon
(follow the signs for IL Route 2 South) for about 0.3 miles. Turn left at
Everett Street and continue on this as it becomes Palmyra Street and then IL
Route 2 (again) for about 7 miles, passing the War Memorial and Sauk Valley
Community College. Turn right at Mound Hill Road (you will see the Drive-In
Screen at this time!) and continue on this until it hits
Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn left on Prairieville/Palmyra Road and the
Midway Drive-In will be on your immediate left. If you miss Mound Hill Road,
don’t fret! Continue on IL Route 2 for a mile or so until you come to
Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn right on Prairieville/Palmyra Road for about
2 miles and the Midway Drive-In will be on your right!
From the South (ex. Princeton)
Take IL Route 26 northbound toward Dixon, IL. Follow this through
downtown Dixon for a total of about 35 miles. Turn left at Everett Street
and continue on this as it becomes Palmyra Street and then IL Route 2
(again) for about 7 miles, passing the War Memorial and Sauk Valley
Community College. Turn right at Mound Hill Road (you will see the Drive-In
Screen at this time!) and continue on this until it hits
Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn left on Prairieville/Palmyra Road and the
Midway Drive-In will be on your immediate left. If you miss Mound Hill Road,
don’t fret! Continue on IL Route 2 for a mile or so until you come to
Prairieville/Palmyra Road. Turn right on Prairieville/Palmyra Road for about
2 miles and the Midway Drive-In will be on your right!
